Payment of Course Fees

  • Upon registration with Almond Careers, all students, regardless of funding source or fee status, are responsible for their course fees.
  • Self-funded candidates must pay their fees in full before the training
commences or on the first day of training.
  • For candidates whose fees are sponsored by an external body (e.g., UK Government, Student Loans Company, Job Centre Plus, Skill Funding Agency), Almond Careers will follow the sponsor’s payment requirements.

Installment Payment Options

  • Students who are unable to pay the full fees upfront can opt for a two- installment plan (50% first and the balance after 4 weeks). The total course fee includes a non-refundable registration fee of £100 (N85,000).
  • The first installment is due on or before the training start date, and all payments must be completed by the 4 th week of the program.

Discretionary payment arrangement

In exceptional cases, Almond Careers may arrange a discretionary payment plan, subject to senior management approval. Terms in this policy still apply.

Overdue payments

  • Failure to adhere to the payment agreement and failure to contact the office within 24 hours will result in the removal of a student from their class, project (where applicable), and Basecamp.
  • Access to CV review, interview preparation support, and work references will also be denied until payment and late fees are paid in full.

Late payment fees are as follows:

  • 24 hours = £25
  • 25 hours – 1 week = £50
  • 1 week – 4 weeks = £100

If a student remains in default for over 4 weeks and fails to contact us, they will be removed entirely from the system and must pay the full amount, including outstanding charges, to re-enroll.

To avoid any disruption to your training progress, and to avoid incurring further late fee charges, students are expected to pay installments on time. It is the students’ responsibility to pay their installments and not the company to chase for this. Payments are considered overdue 1-minute past midnight of the day the payment is due:

Students Request to be placed on hold

Students requesting to be placed on hold after training has commenced must resume training within 2 months to avoid additional charges.

Charges for returning to the course after a hold period are as follows:

  • 0 – 2 months – No charge
  • 3 – 6 months – £100
  • 6 months and above – Pay the full training fee.

Refund Process (UK Work Experience):

  • The registration fee of £100 (N100,000) is non-refundable once registered. Refunds exclude the registration fee.
  • Refund processing takes 7-21 working days from the request date and is refunded to the original payment account.
  • For all refund requests and inquiries, please contact finance@almondcareers.com.

Withdrawal

  • Candidates who withdraw before their training start date forfeit the £100 (N100,000) non-refundable registration fee.
  • Candidates who withdraw after the start of training (taking at least 1 class) are ineligible for any refund.
  • Candidates who miss their first class have until 1 week (5 working days) after the start date to request a refund. After this period, they are ineligible for any refund whatsoever. If such candidates request a refund within the allowed window, they will also forfeit the £100 (N100,000) non-refundable registration fee

Training Downgrade

  • Candidates switching from the UK Work Experience to the Nigeria Work Experience Program after starting training (taking at least 1 class) are not eligible for a refund.
  • Candidates are permitted to downgrade from the UK Work Experience to the Nigeria Work Experience Program within the first two weeks of training commencement. However, after this initial two-week period, downgrades will no longer be possible.
  • All policy updates are effective from October 23rd, 2023.
